PawDex is a pet care and health tracking app for Android, built by Welltide. It helps pet parents log daily activity, monitor vital signs, track nutrition, and keep medical records, all synced to your account so they survive a lost phone and export whenever you want them.
Why We Built It
Most pet health problems are caught late, not because owners are careless, but because the early signals are small and easy to forget. A dog drinking slightly more water, losing half a kilo over three months, or taking a little longer on the stairs is invisible day to day and obvious in a chart.
PawDex exists to turn those scattered observations into a record you can actually show a veterinarian. Not to diagnose anything, and not to replace professional care — just to make sure the information is there when it matters.
Our Privacy Position
Your pet’s records are stored against your account so they survive a lost phone and come with you to a new one, and they export whenever you want them. How We Write Our Guides
The PawDex Editorial Team byline identifies the product publisher at Welltide. It does not identify a veterinarian or imply independent veterinary review. AI responses and these guides can contain errors. Use your veterinarian for diagnosis, treatment, and medication decisions. Examples describe recordkeeping, not a clinical assessment.
The articles on the PawDex blog are written to be genuinely useful rather than to fill space. Our editorial approach:
- Grounded in recognised standards. Where we cite guidance, we reference established sources such as AAFCO nutritional profiles, WSAVA guidelines, body condition scoring, and published veterinary research.
- Specific over vague. Real numbers, real thresholds, and clear instructions rather than general reassurance.
- Clear about limits. Every health article states plainly that it is educational and does not replace veterinary care, and flags the symptoms that need a vet immediately.
- Updated when guidance changes. Veterinary consensus moves — on neutering timing, on cooling protocols for heatstroke, on protein for senior dogs — and we revise articles rather than leaving outdated advice in place.
